Answer the following qurestions using complete sentences.

1. Describe the setting of Chapter One.
2. What words does the author use to describe Lennie. What animal is he compared to?

1. The setting of chapter one is a foresty area. Full of animals and plant life. It, at the time, seems completely untouched by humans but when you look closer it has been touched by humans.
2. It says Lennie is a huge man, with a shapeless face, and large eyes, dragging feet and paw likes hands. Hes described to be like a Bear.
3. George is a strong, yet small man, with strong sharp features, and is said to be like a weasel.
4. He doesn't really say enough to seem older. But when he does speak its childish all together. his english isnt that good. And he seems to be mentally only 9 or 10 years old.
5. Lennie scared a girl back in town, doing something he wasnt really doing.
6. No, because Lennie is like his family. and the to would be too lonely with out the other.
7. The dream about there future and the rabbits. He means like, haveing all the goods and nutrients from the best part of the land, their part.
8. George wants Lennie to remember to run back to this spot and hide in the brush if they get in trouble. And to not say a word to the boss.

1. It's located near Salinas River. It is very calm and a perfect spot to relax.
2. He describes him as a person who doesn't think of the outside world. It's as if he has his own world. He compares him as a mouse.
3. He describes him as a very strong character and doesn't think of others feelings. He could compare him as a lion.
4. He likes to play with animals and likes to be told stories. Five years of age is reasonable.
5. Lennie touched the woman's dress because it reminded him of a mouse. And then the woman ran and she yelled rape.
6. No because Lennie gives him company and helps him because he's a very big guy.
7. That they're going to own a ranch and with a lot of animals and plants. They're going to live a perfect life toether. That they are going to live out of the land and won't need money to make them happy.

2. lennie was described as a huge man with shapeless face with large pale eyes wide sloping shoulders and he walked heavily dragging his feet a little. He was compared to a bear.
3. George was described as a small and quick dark of face, restless and sharp strong features with every part of him defined as small strong hands, slender arms,and a thin and bony nose. He could be compared to cheetah.

1. Chapter one takes place in California where there is lots of grass and animals that live together in peace.
2. The author describes Lennie as a tall, fat, strong, childish man. Lennie is compared to a bear.
3. George is a slim, short, and smart guy who is very responsible. George is best compared to a fox.
4. Lennie says things like “I forgot” or “I could go away and live…” and other childish things. I would estimate that Lennie’s “mental” age is about the same as a 5 year old kid.
5. George and Lennie left the town of Weed so quickly because Lennie got in trouble because he was touching a ladies dress and she screamed, and they had to run away to avoid getting sent to jail.
6. George doesn’t really want Lennie to go away because he enjoys the company and he knows that even if he got what he wanted it doesn’t matter.
7. Lennie begs George to repeat is the one where they own a little vegetable patch and a rabbit hutch and chickens.

2.Lennie is big,strong,but he is like a big kid on the inside.The author compares Lennie to a bear.
3.George is smaller than Lennie but he is smarter than him.George can be compared to a monkey because monkeys aren’t very big but they are smart.
4.Lennie cries when George takes the dead mouse away and he speaks like a child.He depends on George to remember things for him.The estimated age of Lennie’s “mental” age would be around 5.
5.George and Lennie needed to leave the town of Weed so quickly because Lennie got them into trouble.
6.George does not really want Lennie to leave because then he will be lonely but he tells Lennie don’t leave because Lennie won’t be able to take care of himself.

1) The setting of mice and men describes the way that some people think. The story takes place in afarm there's two guy's who care about each other.

2) The author says that lennie is storng and big.Lennie is compared to with a bull.

4) He found a dead mause and he want to keep him.lennie's mental age is 4 or 5 year old.

5) They need to leave because lennie got in trouble and the guy from the ranch are loking for them.
